   Microwave-Assisted Synthesis and Antioxidant Properties of Some New 1,2,4-Triazole Derivatives

چکیده    A series of new 5-(substituted biphenyl-4-yl)-3-(methoxyphenyl)-1-methyl-1h-1,2,4-triazoles (5-15) were successfully synthesized by suzuki coupling between 5-(4-bromophenyl)-3-(substituted methoxyphenyl)-1-methyl-1h-1,2,4-triazoles (3 and 4), which were used as key intermediates for the synthesis of our targets, and the appropriate boronic acid. the new synthesized compounds were characterized by 1h, 13c-nmr and mass spectrometry. the antioxidant properties of the newly synthesized 1,2,4-triazoles have been studied for their antioxidative activity using metal ions (fe^3+ , cu^2+ ) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (dpph) radical scavenging. compound 14 showed the highest antioxidant activity.
