   Removal of an Azo Dye (Orange G) By Various Methods in Homogenious Phase. Comparative Study

چکیده    The dyes are considered as one of the biggest sources of water pollution. degradation ofthese compounds have to be carried out via, photolysis, acetone/uv and aot's (advancedoxidation technologies) due to their weak biodegradation or their high persistence in differentcompartments of the environment. in this study, uv alone and combined to acetone, h2o2,s2o8 ^2-, fenton and photo-fenton reactions were investigated in lab-scale experiments for the degradation of orange g. the attribution of uv-vis bands of dye has been performed bymolecular modelisation, using density functional theory dt-dft and to be compared theexperimental ones. the degradation rate is strongly dependent on the initial concentrations ofthe h2o2, s2o8 ^2-, acetone and fe^2+. the effect of these parameters has been studied and the optimum operational conditions of these processes were found.
