|
The dyes are considered as one of the biggest sources of water pollution. degradation ofthese compounds have to be carried out via, photolysis, acetone/uv and aot's (advancedoxidation technologies) due to their weak biodegradation or their high persistence in differentcompartments of the environment. in this study, uv alone and combined to acetone, h2o2,s2o8 ^2-, fenton and photo-fenton reactions were investigated in lab-scale experiments for the degradation of orange g. the attribution of uv-vis bands of dye has been performed bymolecular modelisation, using density functional theory dt-dft and to be compared theexperimental ones. the degradation rate is strongly dependent on the initial concentrations ofthe h2o2, s2o8 ^2-, acetone and fe^2+. the effect of these parameters has been studied and the optimum operational conditions of these processes were found.
