Dinuclear Ruthenium Thiocarboxylate Complexes:(μ-Z)[CpRu(L)(L)SCO] 2 (Z= 1,4-C6H4, 1,3-C6H4, (CH2)4)

Cyclopentadienyl ruthenium thiocarboxylate dinuclear complexes of the general formula (μ-z)[cpru(l)(l'œ)sco]2 {cp= (eta)^5-c5h5; l= l'= pph3 (1); 1/2 dppe (2); l= co, l'= pph3 (3), z= 1,4-c6h4 (a), 1,3-c6h4 (b), (ch2)4 (c)}, were prepared directly by reacting the cyclopentadienyl ruthenium hydrogensulfido complexes cpru(l)(l')sh with diacid chlorides (1,4-clcoc6h4cocl, 1,3-clcoc6h4cocl and clco(ch2)4cocl) in thf at room temperature. the new dinuclear complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic methods (ft-ir, 1h-nmr and 31p-nmr) and by elemental analysis.
