تحلیل انتقادی رویکرد موتسکی در برخورد با منابع اسلامی مطالعۀ موردی: روایات سریۀ قتل ابن‌ابی‌الحقیق

از دیرباز حدیث اسلامی خاصّه روایات سیرۀ رسول خدا(ص)، مورد توجه پژوهشگران غربی بوده و طی چند دهۀ اخیر توجه به این نوع پژوهش‌ها، گسترۀ فزون‌تری یافته است. مقالۀ «قتل ابن‌ابی‌الحُقیق» نوشتۀ هارالد موتسکی، به بررسی روایات دربارۀ یکی از سرایای دوران پیامبر اکرم(ص) می‌پردازد. مقالۀ حاضر به‌دنبال تحلیلی انتقادی با پرداختن به نقاط قوّت و نیز بررسی ضعف‌ها و کاستی‌های موجود در نوشتار موتسکی است. اهمیت پرداختن به این موضوع با ضرورت حفظ منابع اصیل اسلامی در برابر اشاعۀ برخی برداشت‌های ناتمام با استناد به پیش‌فرض‌هایی ناتمام‌تر، گره خورده است. به همین منظور، به برخی امتیازات، همچون روشمندی علمی و رویکرد اعتدالی نسبت به احادیث اسلامی پرداخته شده و برخی آسیب‌های مبنایی، روشی و غایی همچون کم‌اعتباری نظام اسناد، فقدان معیارها و مبانی رجالی احصا شده است. مهم‌ترین دستاورد این پژوهش دست‌ یافتن به نگاهی تحلیلی‌تر و دقیق‌تر به نوع نگارش‌های یکی از پرکارترین و مطرح‌ترین خاورشناسان اعتدالی یعنی موتسکی است.

critical analysis of motzki’s approach in dealing with islamic sources (case study of traditions on sariyyah of the murder of ibn abī al-ḥuqayq)

the islamic hadith, especially the traditions on the sariyyah of the prophet of islam (pbuh), has been concerned by western researchers for a long time. also it has gained a wide scope of research during last decades. the article “the murder of ibn abi al-ḥuqayq” by harald motzki examines the traditions surrounding one of the sariyyahs of the prophet’s lifetime. the present critical-analytical research aims to show the strength and weakness of motzki’s research. the importance of this issue ties to the necessity of preserving the original islamic sources from the spread of some incomplete concepts based on more incomplete presuppositions. accordingly, it concludes that mutzki’s research includes some correct points, such as the scientific methodology and moderate approach to islamic hadiths and some incorrect points such as basic, methodical and final problems as seen in the lack of isnad (chain of transmitters), the lack of criteria and foundations for rijāl principles. the most important achievement of this research is to get a more analytical and detailed look at writings of one of the most prolific and prominent moderate orientalists, i.e. harald motzki.
