پادشاهی نوذر یا داستان آرش کمانگیر؛ دوراهی موبدان در انتخاب یک روایت

در میان متن‌های تاریخی‌ای که در چهار سدۀ نخست اسلامی به زبان فارسی و عربی نوشته شده، تنها در دو کتاب شاهنامۀ فردوسی و غرر اخبار ثعالبی به پادشاهی نوذر اشاره شده است. بیشتر تاریخ‌نویسان پس از منوچهر به پادشاهی افراسیاب و زَو/زاب می‌پردازند و سخنی از پادشاهی نوذر در میان نیست. از سوی دیگر داستان آرش کمانگیر که بسیاری از تاریخ‌نگاران آن را در پادشاهی منوچهر می‌دانند در شاهنامۀ فردوسی نیامده و فردوسی تنها در چند بیتِ پراکنده در داستان‌های گوناگون به لشکرکشی افراسیاب در زمان منوچهر و نام آرش اشاره کرده است. این جستار با روش تحلیل اسناد در پی پاسخ به این پرسش است که آیا میان نبودِ داستان آرش در شاهنامه و نیامدن پادشاهی نوذر در متن‌های تاریخی ارتباطی وجود دارد. با توجه به شواهد می‌توان احتمال داد که پادشاهی نوذر در خداینامه نبوده است و نویسندگان شاهنامۀ ابومنصوری از کتاب دیگری داستان پادشاهی نوذر را روایت کرده‌اند. از سوی دیگر داستان آرش کمانگیر به این دلیل در شاهنامۀ ابومنصوری و به تبع آن در شاهنامۀ فردوسی نیامده که موبدان باید دو بار به پادشاهی افراسیاب در ایران اشاره می‌کردند و این با روایت‌های تاریخی در تضاد بوده است.

the nowzar's kingdom or the story of arash the archer; the dilemma of zoroastrian priests in choosing a narrative

in persian and arabic historical texts written in the first four centuries of islam, nowzar's kingdom is mentioned only in two books: ferdowsi’s shahnameh and tha'alabi’s ghurar akhbar muluk. most historians after manouchehr refer to the kingdom of afrasiab and zav (zaab) and never point out to the kingdom of nowzar. on the other hand, the story of arash the archer (kamangir), which many historians consider to be in manouchehr's kingdom, is not included in ferdowsi's shahnameh. ferdowsi does not mention afrasiab's campaign in manouchehr's period. arash's name is only mentioned in a few verses in some stories of shahnameh. this research seeks to answer the question of whether there is any connection between the absence of arash story in shahnameh and the lack of nowzar's kingdom in historical texts. according to the evidence, maybe the kingdom of nowzar was not in khodaynameh and the authors of the shahnameh abu mansouri narrated the story of the kingdom of nowzar from another book. on the other hand, arash the archer story has not been mentioned in shahnameh abu mansouri and consequently in ferdowsi’s shahnameh; otherwise, the zoroastrian priests should have noted the afrasiab's kingdom in iran for the two periods of time, and this was in contradiction with historical narrations.
