چکیده    Background:the saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast supplementation on sheep diet could be used. objectives:the aim of this study was to investigate effects of saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast ondigestibility of finishing diets, ruminaland blood metabolites in sheep.methods:fifteen ghezel-baluchi malesheepwith average age of 1 year andinitial body weight of 40±4 kg wereused in a completely randomized design withthree treatments and five replicates.experimental diets were1) basal dietwithout yeast (control), 2) basal diet +3g yeast, 3)basal diet+6g yeast per head (sheep) per day. total feceswerecollected todeterminedigestibilityin the last 7 days of experiment and in the last day of experiment, bloodsamples at 2 hoursafter morning feeding byvenogectetubes and rumen fluid were collected at 2 hours after morning feeding by stomach tubes.results:results ofexperiment indicatedthat saccharomyces cerevisiaeyeast improved digestibility of drymatter, organic matter, crud protein, neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber of basal diet (p < 0. 05).also total volatile fatty acids and ph of rumen fluid increased andammonia nitrogen of rumen fluid and cholesterol, triglyceride andureaofbloodweredecreasedbyyeastaddition (p < 0.05).rumen ciliateprotozoa counting showed thatyeast had influence on biological diversity of protozoa and increasedprotozoapopulation in rumen. conclusions:results ofthis experiment indicated that yeast saccharomyces cerevisiae improved microbial ecosystem and rumen fermentationconditions.
