نظریۀ استفان دیویس در تبیین مسئلۀ اینهمانی شخصی بر اساس ارادۀ الهی و تحلیل انتقادی آن

مسئلۀ اینهمانی شخصی و معیارهای تداوم وجودی انسان به لحاظ نقش مهمی که در فرجام انسان ایفا می‌کند مورد توجه ویژۀ الهیدانان است. ایرادات و نقدهایی که در حوزۀ فلسفۀ دین و فلسفۀ ذهن بر امکان تحقق اینهمانی شخصی وارد شده است سبب شده تا به نظر برخی تبیین پیوستگی وجودی میان فرد دنیوی و شخص رستاخیزیافته در زندگی پس از مرگ امکان‌پذیر نباشد و نظریاتی همچون شبیه‌ترین فرد جایگزین اینهمانی شخصی شود. این نظریات برخی از متالهان مسیحی مانند استفان دیویس را بر آن داشته است تا در برابر این نوع از ایرادات و تردیدها به دفاع از امکان تداوم اینهمانی شخصی بپردازند. دیویس در مقابل نقدهایی که در فضای دانش‌هایی چون فلسفۀ دین و فلسفۀ ذهن بدون توجه به مبانی الهیاتی این مسئله مطرح شده است از موضعی درون‌دینی و بر اساس «ارادۀ مطلق الهی در حفظ اینهمانی شخصی» به تبیین این مسئله پرداخته و تلاش کرده است تا در این تبیین نشان دهد در حل مسئلۀ اینهمانی شخصی و پاسخ به نقدهای آن لازم است به مبانی الهیاتی این مسئله توجه شود. در این پژوهش تلاش شده است تا از رهگذر مطالعۀ توصیفی‌ تحلیلی آثار دیویس به نقد و بررسی این نظریه و میزان توفیق او در روش‌شناسی استفاده از مبانی الهیاتی در پاسخ به مسائل فلسفۀ دین و ذهن پرداخته شود.

stephen davis’s explanation of the problem of personal identity based on the divine will and its critical analysis

personal identity and the criteria for the continuity of human existence are of special interest to theologians due to their crucial role in the afterlife. the objections and criticisms raised in the fields of philosophy of religion and philosophy of mind regarding the possibility of personal identity have led some to believe that explaining existential identity between a person in this world and the person resurrected after death is not feasible. as a result, theories like &the closest continuer& have been proposed. these theories have motivated certain christian theologians, including stephen davis, to defend the possibility of the continuation of personal identity against these objections and doubts. in response to criticisms that overlook the theological foundations of the issue, davis has attempted to explain the possibility of personal identity by adopting an intra-religious approach and considering the absolute &will of god.& davis insists that addressing the present problem and responding to its criticisms requires taking its theological foundations into account. this article conducts a descriptive-analytical study of davis’s works to critically analyze his approach and methodology in using theological foundations to counter the criticisms raised in the philosophy of religion and the philosophy of mind.
