پارادوکس بوسعید، راه‌حلّ بوعلی

میان شیخ ابوسعید ابوالخیر (357-440 ﻫ. ق.)، عارف نامدار، و شیخ ابوعلی ابن‌سینا (359-416 ﻫ. ق.) منطق‌دان و فیلسوف پرآوازه، نامه‌نگاری معروفی رخ داده است که در آن بوسعید دربارۀ معرفت‌بخشی قیاسْ دشوارۀ دور را درمی‌افکند، و بوعلی پاسخی فروتنانه به آن می‌دهد. دربارۀ این نامه‌نگاری تا کنون دو پژوهش انجام یافته‌اند که بیشتر صبغۀ تاریخی دارند و وضوح منطقیِ رضایت‌بخشی به بحث نمی‌دهند. جستار پیشِ رو، افزون بر تلاش برای زدودن این کاستی، چهار نکتۀ تازه را به ادبیات بحث می‌افزاید: (1) بوعلی در پاسخ به نامۀ بوسعید، بر خلاف برخی ظواهر متن، دو تقریر از یک راه‌حلّ را پیش می‌نهد، نه دو راه‌حلّ جداگانه را. (2) راه‌حلّ بوعلی را می‌توان مبتنی بر پیش‌دیدی از تمایز میان قضایای حقیقی و خارجی دانست. (3) مدّعای ابراهیم نوئی که می‌گوید چنین راه‌حلّی را جز غروی نائینی هیچ منطق‌دانی مطرح نکرده دیگر پذیرفتنی نخواهد بود. (4) برخی از پس‌زمینه‌های تاریخیِ طرح دوگانۀ حقیقی/خارجی از سوی فخرالدین رازی، و احتساب آن در قیاس‌ها از سوی شمس‌الدین سمرقندی، آشکار خواهد شد.

abu saʿīd's paradox, ibn sina's solution

there is a famous correspondence between abu saʿīd abu al-khair and ibn sina in which the former claims that the syllogistic is suffering from vicious circle and the latter tries to deny the accusation. about this correspondence, two studies have been conducted so far, which are mostly historical and do not provide satisfactory logical clarity to the discussion. the current essay, in addition to trying to remove this shortcoming, adds four new points to the discussion: (1) contrary to some appearances of the text, ibn sina presents two interpretations of the same solution, not two separate solutions. (2) ibn sina's solution can be considered based on the distinction between essentialistic and actualistic propositions. (3) ibrahim noi's claim - who says that no logician has proposed such a solution except for naini - will no longer be acceptable. (4) some of the historical background of fakhr al-din razi's essentialistic/actualistic distinction, and its application in syllogistic by shams al-din samarqandi, will be revealed.
