چکیده
|
In this paper, the residence time distribution (rtd) for viscoelastic fluids in the tubular reactor have been investigated using the conformational rheological models. from the industrial point of view, determination of the residence time distribution for viscoelastic fluids in tubular reactors is very important due to it is used to achieve the optimum performance conditions of tubular reactor. in order to determinate the residence time distribution function for viscoelastic fluids in the tubular reactor, the conformational rheological models in conjunction with the equationsof motion have been considered together. at first, the shear rate distribution and the fluid velocity distribution in thetubular reactor have been predicted for two different mobility tensors by solving of the conformational rheologicalmodels and the equations of motion simultaneously. then, the residence time distribution function has been calculatedusing the existing relations in the literatures. it has been concluded that, the trend of predicted results for the residence time distribution function is similar to their experimental results presented in the literatures.
