|
Zinc oxide is a common activator in rubber industry. the uniform distribution of zno inrubber matrix is necessary for effective role of this activator. in this work a methodbased on atomic absorbtion spectroscopy (aas) has been used for determination of zinccontent and distribution in common nr/sbr blends which are applied in rubber industry.the technique employed is rapid, simple and pricewise. application of this technique hasshown the acceptable utility for the comparative determination of zinc distribution in thecompounds containing zinc oxide and nano-zinc oxide. results showed that the zinc contenthas been in the range of 0.80 i%-0.827% for the compound containing zinc oxide and0.780%-0.825% in the compound containing nano- zinc oxide. it has shown the fair uniformityfor zinc distribution in the compound containing zinc oxide rather than nano zinc oxide
