چکیده    I nterlaminar fracture energy of glass-polyester composites with glass nominalvolume fraction , vf of 30% formed by hand lay-up (hlu) have been studied todetermine the effects of specimen thickness on the mode i fracture toughness .it was found that fracture toughness, g1c, values are function of specimen geometry.the results showed that as the thickness of specimens with similar width increasesthe values of fracture toughness increased. interlaminar fracture energy, g1c valuesfound for thicker specimen showed significantly higher g,c due to higher fibrebridging then that was observed during propagation
