چکیده
|
An efficient method for synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(lh)-ones andthiones (dhpms) from aldehyde, p-ketoester and urea or thiourea using acatalytic amount of iodine is described. compared with the classical biginellireaction conditions, this new method has the advantage of excellent yields (70-95%)and short reaction time (3-7 hours) in the absence of organic solvent under mildconditions.
