سالمندی موفق از دیدگاه سعدی

نظریه‌های گوناگونی دربارۀ دورۀ پایانی عمر آدمی ارائه‌ شده ‌است که برجسته‌ترین آنها «سالمندی موفق» است. براساس این نظریه دوران پیری مرحله‌ای از عمر انسان است که رشد در آن ادامه دارد و درصورتی‌که سالمند خصوصیات و ظرفیت‌های آن را بشناسد می‌تواند با آرامش، در حوزۀ فردی و اجتماعی کنشگر باقی بماند. سعدی یکی از فرهنگ‌‌سازان جامعۀ ایرانی است که دورۀ سالمندی او با شکوفایی و خلاقیت همراه بوده و در آثار تعلیمی و غنائی خود دربارۀ آن سخن گفته است. این پژوهش خوانشی از آثار سعدی با روش توصیفی _ تحلیلی و در نظر داشتن دیدگاه‌های متخصصان معاصر درخصوص سالمندی موفق است. بیشتر صاحب‌نظران حوزۀ سالمندی براساس رویکرد زیست‌شناختی، روان‌شناختی یا جامعه‌شناختی به تشریح ویژگی‌های سالمندی موفق پرداخته‌اند؛ اما سعدی با رویکرد اخلاقی و مبتنی بر آموزه‌های دینی و تجربه‌های فردی تلاش کرده است تا تصویری از سالمندان موفق ارائه دهد. او با ایجاز و سادگی ضمن بیان ناتوانی‌های جسمانی پیران توانسته است راهکارهایی برای جبران آنچه انسان در دورۀ سالمندی از دست می‌دهد، ارائه کند تا سالمندان با احساس آرامش بیشتری باقیماندۀ عمر را سپری کنند و در نقش‌هایی تازه متناسب با شرایط پیری در جامعه ظاهر شوند. نتایج تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که مهم‌ترین ویژگی‌های سالمندان موفق ازنظر سعدی عبارت‌اند از: پذیرش واقعیت‌های دوران سالمندی، هوشمندانه زندگی‌کردن و مواجهۀ خردمندانه با امور، هدفمند زندگی‌کردن، معناگرایی و تعالی‌جویی، مرگ‌آگاهی واقع‌گرایانه، امیدواربودن، نقش‌آفرینی اجتماعی، مهرورزی، کسب نیک‌نامی و توجه به ‌سلامت جسم و جان.
