بررسی تاثیر podcasting بر یادگیری و میزان رضایت دانشجویان دندانپزشکی

مقدمه: ظهور تکنولوژی‌های جدیدتر، ارائه‌دهندگان اطلاعات را قادر می‌سازد تا روش‌های آموزشی جدیدتر را معرفی نمایند. هدف از مطالعه حاضر، بررسی اثربخشی podcasting در آموزش درس دندان‌پزشکی کودکان و میزان رضایت دانشجویان از این روش بود. مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه در درس کودکان و برای 38 دانشجوی دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان انجام شد. ابتدا جلسه اول کلاس کودکان برگزار گردید. سپس دانشجویان به صورت تصادفی به دو گروه تقسیم شدند. در جلسه دوم، گروه اول (18 نفر کنترل) مبحث جلسه قبل را مطالعه نمودند و امتحان از جلسه اول گرفته شد. گروه دوم (20 نفر مداخله) ابتدا podcast را مشاهده نمودند و سپس امتحان از جلسه اول گرفته شد. در جلسه سوم نیز این کار تکرار شد. پس از امتحان جلسه سوم، میزان رضایت‌مندی از این شیوه از طریق پرسش‌نامه‌ای بررسی گردید. اثربخشی podcasting از طریق مقایسه‌‌ میانگین نمرات‌ امتحان دو گروه با یکدیگر ارزیابی شد.داده‌ها توسط آزمون آماری‌ t مستقل تحلیل شدند. سطح معنی­داری در آزمون ها 0.05 در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: میانگین نمرات آزمون‌های اول، دوم و میانگین دو آزمون، در گروه مداخله به ترتیب 0.67±3.80، 0.91±3.97 و 0.75±3.81 و در گروه کنترل 1.61±3.22، 1.24±3.68 و 1.54±3.25 بود که تفاوت آماری معنی داری در دو گروه مشاهده نشد (0.170=p، 0.457=p و 0.177=p). میانگین نگرش دانشجویان درخصوص این شیوه آموزشی 3.42 از 5 بود. نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به یافته‌های مطالعه حاضر، به‌نظر می‌رسد podcasting در میزان یادگیری دانشجویان اثری ندارد؛ اما دانشجویان نسبت به این روش نگرش مثبت داشتند.

Study of the Effect of Podcasting on Learning and Satisfaction in Dental Students

Introduction: The advent of newer technology has enabled information providers to introduce newer teaching methods in education. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of podcasting in Pedodontics education and satisfaction of students with this method. Materials Methods: This study was conducted on Pedodontics for 38 dental students of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences. After the first session of Pedodontics, the students were divided randomly into two groups. At the second session, Group 1 (18 students as controls) reviewed the lessons of the first session and then an exam was given. Group 2 (20 students as interventions) listened to the topics of the first session through podcast and an exam was also given. At the third session, the same manner was repeated. After examination of the third session, satisfaction of students with this method (podcasting) was evaluated by a questionnaire. Podcasting effectiveness was assessed by comparing the mean scores of Pedodontics exams across the two groups. Data were analyzed using independent twosle ttest. Significance level was set at 0.05. Results: The mean scores of the first and second exams and the average of the two exams were 3.80±0.67, 3.97±0.91 and 3.81±0.75 in intervention group and 3.22±1.61, 3.68±1.24 and 3.25±1.54 in control group, respectively. no statistically significant difference was found in mean scores among two groups (P=0.170, P=0.457 and P=0.177, respectively). The mean attitude score of students about this educational method was 3.42 out of 5. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it seems that podcasting does not increase students’ learning ability, but students have a positive attitude towards this method.
