چکیده
|
مقدمه: با افزایش میانگین سن افراد جامعه، علاوه بر مشکلات دندانی، بیماریهای مختلفی نیز مخاط دهان سالمندان را درگیر می کند. هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی فراوانی ضایعات دهانی و ارتباط آن با ریسک فاکتورها در سالمندان آسایشگاه های شهر بندرعباس در سال1397 بود. مواد و روش ها:این مطالعهی توصیفی – تحلیلی، بر روی 68 سالمند ساکن آسایشگاههای شهر بندرعباس در سال 1397 انجام شد. اطلاعات جمع آوری شده در چک لیست ثبت و با استفاده از نرم افزار spss با ویرایش 20 و آزمونهای آماری mann whitney، chisquare و fisher exact test مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. یافته ها: از 68 سالمند مورد بررسی، 42 نفر (61.8 درصد) مرد و 26 نفر (38.2 درصد) زن بودند و میانگین سنی افراد 70.59 سال بود. ضایعات دهانی در 69.1٪ افراد مشاهده شد. بیشترین ضایعه ی مشاهده شده، پیگمانتاسیون (42.6%) و شایعترین مکان برای بروز ضایعات، لثه و ریج آلوئولار (31.7%) بود. همچنین ارتباط آماری معنی داری بین حضور ضایعات دهانی و مصرف سیگار مشاهده شد (0.034=pvalue). نتیجه گیری:با توجه به فراوانی نسبتا بالای ضایعات دهانی در سالمندان این مطالعه، لزوم پیگیری و معاینات دهانی جدی تر این قشر جامعه توصیه می گردد.

Abstract
|
Introduction: In addition to dental problems, the increase in the average age of the population causes various diseases which affect the oral mucosa of the elderly. The current study aimed to investigate the prevalence of oral lesions and the related risk factors in the elderly residing in nursing homes in Bandar Abbas in 2018. Materials and Methods: This descriptiveanalytical study was carried out on 68 elderly people residing in nursing homes in Bandar Abbas in 2018. The obtained data were recorded in a checklist and analyzed in SPSS software (version 20) using MannWhitney, Chisquare, and Fisher exact tests. Results: Out of 68 elderly subjects, 42 (61.8%) cases were men and 26 (38.2%) were women, and the mean age was reported as 70.59 years. Oral lesions were observed in 69.1% of the subjects. The most observed lesions were pigmentation (42.6%) and the most common sites of lesions were gingiva and alveolar ridge (31.7%). Furthermore, a significant relationship was detected between the presence of oral lesions and smoking (P= 0.034). Conclusion: The relatively high prevalence of oral lesions in the elderly who were investigated in the current study suggested the need for more serious followup and dental examinations in this population.
