مقایسه اثرات دهان شویه ی عصاره پروپولیس با دهان شویه ی نیستاتین بر دنچر استوماتیت

زمینه. شایع ترین عارضه بالینی در استفاده کنندگان دنچر، استوماتیت است. کاندیدا آلبیکنز مهم ترین میکروارگانیسمی است که در پاتوژنز این بیماری دخالت دارد. از آنجایی که، فعالیت ضدقارچی عصاره پروپولییس بر روی کاندیدا آلبیکنز در آزمایشگاه ثابت شده، هدف مطالعه، مقایسه دهان شویه عصاره پروپولیس و نیستاتین در درمان دنچر استوماتیت است. روش کار. در این مطالعه سی نفر دارای دنچر متحرک کامل، مبتلا به دنچر استوماتیت تیپ دو با علایم ناحیه وسیع اریتماتوز مخاطی پوشیده شده با دنچر، شرکت کردند. به یک گروه دهان شویه عصاره پروپولیس و به دیگری دهان شویه نیستاتین ارایه شد. اندازه اریتم ناشی از دنچر استوماتیت قبل از شروع مصرف دهان شویه، 5، 10، 15 و 20 روز بعد از شروع مصرف گرفته و داده های به دست آمده به وسیله روش های آماری توصیفی و آنالیز واریانس تکرار شونده تحلیل و 0/05>p معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته ها. در دو زمان 5 و 10 روز بعد از شروع مصرف، بین میانگین اندازه اریتم در دو گروه تحت بررسی تفاوت معنی دار آماری وجود دارد که در گروه نیستاتین بیشتر از میانگین آن در گروه عصاره ی پروپولیس است و در سایر زمان های ارزیابی بین میانگین اندازه اریتم در دو گروه تفاوت معنی دار آماری وجود ندارد. نتیجه گیری. دهان شویه عصاره پروپولیس در درمان دنچر استوماتیت اثری مشابه دهان شویه نیستاتین دارد و با توجه به ارزانی، سهولت دسترسی، طعم بهتر و از عوارض جانبی کمتر نسبت به نیستاتین، جهت درمان ضایعات قارچی از جمله دنچراستوماتیت پیشنهاد می گردد. پیامدهای عملی. با توجه به مزایای دهان شویه عصاره پروپولیس نسبت به دهان شویه نیستاتین در قبال اثر مشابه، جهت افزایش مصرف و رونق این دهان شویه از سوی نظام سلامت اقدام گردد.

background. denture stomatitis is the most important clinical complication that is common in denture wearers. candida albicans is the most important microorganism involved in the pathogenesis of this disease. since the antifungal activity of propolis extract on candida albicans has been proven in the laboratory, the aim of the study is to compare the mouthwash of propolis extract and nystatin in the treatment of denture stomatitis. methods. in this study, thirty people with full removable dentures, suffering from type two denture stomatitis with symptoms of a wide erythematous area of the mucosa covered by the denture, participated. propolis extract mouthwash was given to one group and nystatin mouthwash to the other group. the size of the erythema caused by denture stomatitis was taken before the start of mouthwash use, five, ten, fifteen and twenty days after the start of use, and the obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistical methods and repeated analysis of variance, and p < 0.05 was considered significant. results. there is a statistically significant difference between the average size of the erythema in the two groups under investigation at five and ten days after the start of use, which is greater in the nystatin group than the average in the propolis extract group, and at other evaluation times between the average there is no statistically significant difference in the size of the erythema in the two groups. conclusion. propolis extract mouthwash has the same effect as nystatin mouthwash in the treatment of denture stomatitis and due to its cheapness, ease of access, better taste and less side effects than nystatin, it is recommended for the treatment of fungal lesions including denture stomatitis. practical implications. considering the benefits of propolis extract mouthwash compared to nystatin mouthwash, while having the same effects, the healthcare system should take measures to increase the consumption and prosperity of this mouthwash.
