سناریوهای آیندۀ توسعۀ هوش مصنوعی با روش اسکن رسانه‌ای

هدف: هوش مصنوعی در ماهیت زندگی انسان تغییرات گسترده‌ای ایجاد کرده است و تاثیرهای آن در حوزه‌های اشتغال، اقتصاد، ارتباطات، جنگ، حریم خصوصی، امنیت، اخلاق و مراقبت‌های بهداشتی چشمگیر است؛ با این حال نحوۀ تکامل و تاثیر آن در آینده، هنوز درهاله‌ای از ابهام قرار دارد. از سویی سناریوپردازی آیندۀ فناوری‌های نوظهور، رویکردی متداول برای درک و تحلیل پیچیدگی و عدم قطعیت‌های شکل‌دهندۀ آینده و آمادگی بیشتر برای مواجهه با وضعیت‌های محتمل توسعۀ آن‌هاست. همچنین سناریونویسی بر اساس طیف گسترده‌ای از منابع مختلف، از جمله محتواهای رسانه‌ای و مکتوبات علمی تخیلی انجام می‌شود. سینما و فیلم‌های علمی تخیلی، در تصویرپردازی آیندۀ فناوری‌های نوظهور و به‌خصوص آیندۀ هوش مصنوعی سابقه‌ای طولانی دارند. در این راستا، هدف این مقاله، ارائه سناریوهای آینده توسعۀ هوش مصنوعی در جهان است.روش: برای انجام این پژوهش، ابتدا با استفاده از مرور پیشینه و گزارش‌های مرتبط با آیندۀ هوش مصنوعی، پیشران‌های شکل‌دهندۀ آیندۀ هوش مصنوعی شناسایی شد؛ سپس با نظر خبرگان و متخصصان هوش مصنوعی و با استفاده از تحلیل فیلم‌های علمی تخیلی که در زمینۀ هوش مصنوعی بودند، پیشران‌های تعیین‌کننده، به‌عنوان‌عدم قطعیت‌های شکل‌دهندۀ آیندۀ هوش مصنوعی انتخاب شدند؛ سپس از تقاطع‌عدم قطعیت‌ها 9 سناریو حاصل شد که تعداد 4 سناریو از منطقی قابل قبول برخوردار بوده است. شایان ذکر است که نمره imdb فیلم‌های انتخابی بالاتر از 6 بوده و برای تحلیل محتوای فیلم‌ها و شناسایی پیشران‌ها در فیلم‌ها، از ساختار و پروتکل تحلیل فیلم استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: بر اساس مطالب بیان شده در بخش روش، شش پیشران شناسایی شد که عبارت‌اند از: پذیرش اجتماعی، دامنۀ پیشرفت هوش مصنوعی، تکینگی، هزینه فایدۀ هوش مصنوعی، قانون‌مندی و تنظیمگری تشویق و حمایت دولت. از بین آن‌ها سه پیشران پذیرش اجتماعی، تکینگی و قانون‌مندی و تنظیمگری، به‌ترتیب با نمرات 4.40، 4.33 و 4.78 از سوی خبرگان، به‌عنوان‌عدم قطعیت‌های شکل‌دهندۀ آیندۀ هوش مصنوعی انتخاب شدند. ترکیب وضعیت‌های مختلف این‌عدم قطعیت‌ها به استخراج چهار سناریو محتمل «سلطۀ هوش مصنوعی بر جهان»، «دشمن خودساخته»، «هوش مصنوعی در سلطۀ انسان» و «اتوپیا: هم‌افزایی انسان و هوش مصنوعی» انجامید. سناریو سلطۀ هوش مصنوعی بر جهان، روایتگر دیستوپیایی از زندگی آینده انسان‌هاست؛ یعنی جایی که هوش مصنوعی قدرت را به دست گرفته و انسان‌ها را به حاشیۀ شهرها رانده است؛ در مقابل، سناریو اتوپیا: هم‌افزایی انسان و هوش مصنوعی، روایتگر یک آرمان‌شهر است، جایی که انسان و هوش مصنوعی به زندگی مسالمت‌آمیز با یکدیگر دست یافته‌اند. سایر سناریوها حد واسط میان این دو سناریو است.نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس یافته‌ها، «اتوپیا: هم‌افزایی انسان و هوش مصنوعی» خوش‌بینانه‌ترین و «سلطۀ هوش مصنوعی بر جهان» بدبینانه‌ترین سناریوهای توسعۀ هوش مصنوعی هستند. یافته‌های این مقاله نشان می‌دهد که مزیت‌های هوش مصنوعی و توسعۀ آن، برای دولت‌ها و انسان‌ها توجه‌پذیر است و بایستی برای تسریع تحقق آن‌ها سیاست‌گذاری متناسب صورت گیرد. همچنین، مخاطرات و چالش‌های محتمل هوش مصنوعی در آینده نیز، لزوم قانون‌گذاری و مقید کرد توسعه و کاربردهای این فناوری را گوشزد می‌کند.

exploring future scenarios of artificial intelligence development: a media scanning approach

objective artificial intelligence (ai) is driving profound changes in human life, significantly impacting areas such as employment, the economy, communication, warfare, privacy, security, ethics, and healthcare. despite its current influence, the future evolution and impact of ai remain uncertain. depicting future scenarios of emerging technologies is a common method for understanding and shaping desired outcomes, as well as preparing for potential future situations. these scenarios can be proposed by various sources, including media and science fiction. science fiction films, in particular, have a long history of portraying the future of emerging technologies, especially ai. this paper aims to explore future scenarios of ai development. methodsto conduct this research, first, we reviewed the literature and reports related to the future of ai, which led to the identification of drivers shaping the future. then, by gathering experts’ opinions and conducting a content analysis of science-fiction films with an imdb score higher than six, relevant to the future of ai, we identified three uncertainties underlying the future of ai. following our content analysis protocol, we analyzed films and identified evidence of drivers in each film. eventually, from the intersection of our uncertainties, nine scenarios were obtained, of which four scenarios were logically acceptable. resultswe found that uncertainties shaping the future of ai are social acceptance, singularity, and legality and regulation, with expert average scores of 4.40, 4.33, and 4.78, respectively. we selected them from the six drivers identified in the literature review, i.e., social acceptance, scope of ai development, singularity, cost-benefit of ai, legality and regulation, and government support. the scenario of ai dominating the world is a dystopian narrative of the future of human beings, where ai takes over power and pushes humans to the outskirts of the cities. in contrast to this scenario, in the utopia scenario, the synergy of humans and ai creates a utopia where humans and ai co-exist and thrive peacefully. the remaining scenarios’ features are located between dystopia and utopia. conclusionour findings indicate that ‘utopia: human and ai synergy’ is the most optimistic scenario, while ‘ai domination of the world’ represents the most pessimistic outlook for ai development. the results show that the advantages of ai development are significant for both governments and individuals, necessitating proportionate policies to realize these benefits. however, the potential risks and challenges of ai in the future highlight the need for regulations and restrictions to prevent uncontrolled development and applications of ai.
