بررسی اثرات عصاره‌ی آبی دارچین بر پارامترهای بیوشیمیایی سرم خون در رت‌های نر دیابتی شده توسط استرپتوزوتوسین

زمینه و هدف: امروزه استفاده از فرآورده های گیاهی به عنوان جانشین یا مکمل داروهای شیمیایی مطرح است. یکی از این گیاهان پرخاصیت دارچین می باشد. با توجه به افزایش مصرف گیاهان دارویی در درمان بیماری ها و شناسایی اثرات جانبی آنها بر اندام های مختلف، تحقیق حاضر به منظور بررسی اثرات عصاره آبی دارچین بر میزان پارامترهای بیوشیمیایی سرم خون در رت های نر دیابتی شده توسط استرپتوزوتوسین (stz) انجام گرفته است.روش بررسی: در این مطالعه تجربی، موش های صحرایی نر نژاد ویستار به سه گروه هفت تایی شاهد سالم، شاهد دیابتی و دیابتی تیمار شده با عصاره تقسیم شدند. موش های ناشتا با تزریق یک دوز 50 میلی گرم بر کیلوگرم استرپتوزوتوسین به صورت داخل صفاقی دیابتی گردیدند. بعد از تیمار موش ها با عصاره آبی دارچین، قند خون، تری گلیسرید، کلسترول، hdl و ldl سرم خون در گروه های تحت بررسی اندازه گیری شد. میانگین داده های حاصله با استفاده از آزمون واریانس یک طرفه anova و تست توکی مورد ارزیابی آماری قرار گرفت.یافته ها: نتایج حاصله کاهش معنی داری در قند خون، تری گلیسرید، کلسترول در رت های دیابتی تیمار شده نشان داد، در حالی که مقادیر ldl و hdl تغییرات معنی داری را نشان ندادند. نتیجه گیری: نتایج بررسی حاضر نشان می دهد از آن جایی که گیاهان این خانواده دارای ترکیبات فلاونوئیدی می باشند، احتمال می رود کاهش معنی دار پارامترهای بیوشیمیایی سرم خون از جمله قند خون، تری گلیسرید و کلسترول در رت های دیابتی به واسطه ی این ترکیبات باشد. بنابراین استفاده مناسب از این گیاه برای افراد دیابتی می تواند مفید باشد.

The Effects of Aqueous Extract of Cinnamon on Blood Biochemical Parameters in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats

Background and Objective: Nowadays, the use of herbal products has been proposed as an alternative to chemical drugs. Cinnamon is considered as a beneficial and useful herb. Due to the increasing demand of medicinal plants to treat diseases and identify any side effects on different organs, this study was performed to investigate the effects of aqueous extract of cinnamon on serum biochemical parameters in streptozotocininduced (STZ) diabetic rats.Materials and Methods: 21 male Wistar rats were assigned to three groups of 7 including control, diabetic control and diabetic rats treated with the extract, respectively. Fasting mice were diabolized with 50 mg/kg intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. After 21 days of treatment with the extract at a dose of 200 mg/ kg, blood sugar, triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL and LDL in serum were measured in three groups. Results were analyzed using one way ANOVA and Tukey test.Results: A significant decrease in blood glucose, triglycerides and cholesterol in the treated diabetic rats were seen whereas, there was no significant changes in LDL and HDL levels.Conclusion: Since the plants in this family have flavonoid components, their effect on reduction of serum biochemical parameters including blood glucose, triglyceride and cholesterol may be due to these components. Therefore, the aqueous extract of cinnamon has antidiabetic properties and its proper use is beneficial for diabetic patients.
