تاثیر آنتی‌بیوتیک خوراکی بر عوارض بعد از عمل جراحی تانسیلکتومی

مقدمه: تانسیلکتومی، یک عمل جراحی شایع در کودکان است که می‌تواند عوارضی بدنبال داشته باشد. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی تاثیر تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک بر روی عوارض پس از عمل تانسیلکتومی بود.روش‌ها: در این کارآزمایی بالینی، 100بیمار کاندید تانسیلکتومی وارد مطالعه شدند. پس از عمل به 50 بیمار در گروه مداخله، داروی آموکسی‌سیلین با دوز mg/kg 40 بصورت کپسول خوراکی داده شد. در 50 بیمار گروه شاهد، کپسول مشابه‌ای دریافت می‌کردند که فاقد داروی آنتی‌بیوتیکی بود. در معاینه‌ی 2 هفته پس از عمل، داده‌های مربوط به میزان درد بعد از عمل، خونریزی، تب، مدت زمان برگشت به رژیم غذایی عادی و مدت استفاده از داروی مسکن، در دو گروه بیماران گردآوری و در چک‌لیست مربوطه ثبت شد.یافته‌ها: در هر گروه 50 بیمار حضور داشتند.گروه مداخله و گروه شاهد از نظر وزن، سن و جنس، همسان‌سازی شدند. نتایج بعد از عمل جراحی حاکی از آن بود که اختلاف آماری معنی‌داری بین گروه‌های مداخله و شاهد از نظر رخداد خونریزی، تب، شدت درد و زمان بازگشت به رژیم غذایی عادی، مشاهده نگردید ولی گروه‌های مداخله و شاهد در مدت استفاده از داروی مسکن، اختلاف آماری معنی‌دار نشان دادند.نتیجه‌گیری: تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک بعد از عمل تانسیلکتومی بر عوارض ناشی از عمل شامل خونریزی، درد، تب و مدت زمان برگشت به رژیم غذایی عادی اثر معنی‌داری نداشت. لذا تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها بعد از عمل تانسیلکتومی به طور عمومی توصیه نمی‌شود.

the effects of administering no antibiotics on tonsillectomy complications

background: tonsillectomy is a common surgical procedure, especially in children, which has complications. this study aimed to evaluate the effects of antibiotic administration after tonsillectomy.methods: in this clinical trial, 100 tonsillectomy candidate patients were included. after surgery, 50 patients in the intervention group were given amoxicillin at a dose of 40 mg/kg in the form of oral capsules. the fifty patients in the control group received a similar capsule that did not contain antibiotics. in addition to the demographic characteristics of the patients, data related to the pain severity (through the visual analog scale), bleeding, fever, the duration of returning to a normal diet, and the duration of using analgesic were collected two weeks after the operation and was recorded in the checklist.findings: there were 50 patients in each group. the intervention and the control groups were matched in terms of weight, age, and sex. the findings indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the intervention and control groups in terms of the occurrence of bleeding, fever, pain intensity, and time to return to the normal diet post-surgically. however, the intervention and control groups showed a significant statistical difference in the duration of analgesic intake.conclusion: post- tonsillectomy antibiotic administration has no significant beneficial effects on complications of the procedure, including bleeding, pain, fever, and the time to return to the normal diet. so, administration of antibiotics after tonsillectomy is not generally recommended.
