تعدد پایتخت‌های تاریخی ایران (یک قلمرو و این‌همه پایتخت)؟!: عوامل و زمینه‌ها

پایتخت‌های متعدد ایران در طول تاریخ بسان رودخانه‌ای پر پیچ‌وخم تمام مناطق ایران را درنوردیده‌اند؛ از این رو، این سرزمین در میان مناطق مختلف جهان از نظر تعدد پایتخت‌های مختلف در طول تاریخ بی‌نظیر و حتی تا حدی استثنا است. مسئله اصلی این نوشته در این است که چرا ایران برخلاف مناطقی چون چین، هند، فرانسه، انگلستان، روسیه، مصر، شام، بین‌النهرین، عربستان، یمن، سرزمین‌های روم و یونان و ... که حداقل هرکدام دارای یک یا دو شهر مرکزی و شاخص (پایتخت) بوده‌اند، از یک یا دو شهر هسته‌ای با مرکزیت طولانی یا پایتختی ثابت برخوردار نبوده است؟. چرا ایران در طول تاریخ پرفرازونشیب خود از یک پایتخت و شهر مرکزی برخوردار نگردید؟. با نگاهی کوتاه به تاریخ ایران، این موضوع به‌وضوح دیده می‌شود که یک شهر مرکزی یا یک پایتخت پایدار در این میان وجود ندارد، بلکه هر سلسله‌ای یک پایتخت و یا حتی چند شهر را به‌مرور به پایتختی برگزیده و این قلمرو را با تعدد و تنوع پایتخت‌ها مواجه ساخته است. این نوشته تلاش دارد تا چرایی این مسئله را به بحث گذارد؛ ناگفته پیداست که مسئله به‌سادگی قابل توضیح، تبیین و توجیه نیست. هرچند دستاورد تحقیق آن است که عامل جغرافیایی و به‌تبع آن زیست- معیشتی دارای نقش اصلی می‌باشد.

the multiplicity of historical capitals of iran (one territory and so many capitals)?!: factors and contexts

iran has had numerous capitals in history; hence, this land is unique and even somewhat exceptional among different regions of the world in terms of the number of different capitals throughout history. therefore, iran is unparalleled in this regard compared to other nations. the problem addressed in this article is how iran is different from countries such as china, india, france, russia, egypt, syria, yemen, mesopotamia, arabia, the roman empire and greece. all these countries have had at most one or two capitals in history. however, iran has had various capitals in history. although iran enjoys a long history of civilization, the question is why it does not have one or two capitals or huge cities like other countries. as we glance at the history of iran, we face a great number of capitals, and each dynasty has chosen a capital or even several cities over time and this territory with multiplicity has faced a variety of capitals. thus, iran seems to be unique in this respect. in an attempt to tackle this issue, the researcher in the present study delves into the reason underlying this multiplicity of capitals.
