نقش بیوفیلم باکتریایی در پیامدهای بالینی ناشی از عفونت های دهان و دندان

زمینه و هدف: بیماری های دهان و دندان، نظیر پوسیدگی های دندانی و التهاب لثه از جمله مشکلات شایع در جوامع انسانی می باشند. تشکیل بیوفیلم به عنوان یک مکانیسم بسیار با اهمیت بیماری زایی توسط این باکتری ها مطرح می باشد. مطالعه حاضر مروری بر این بیماری های عفونی و اتیولوژی باکتریایی آن ها، مکانیسم تشکیل و نقش بیوفیلم پلاک دندانی در بروز و پیشرفت این عفونت ها و واکسیناسیون علیه پوسیدگی های دندانی یک زمینه پژوهشی جدید برای مقابله با این بیماری های دهان-دندانی می باشد.روش کار: مقالات از بانک های اطلاعاتی science direct، google scholar و pubmed در سال های 1995 تا 2017 میلادی جمع آوری گردید و در مدت زمان 2 ماه مورد مطالعه و بررسی قرار گرفتند. از مقالات با موضوع نقش بیوفیلم باکتریایی در بیماری های دهان و دندان جهت نوشتن این پژوهش استفاده گردید.یافته ها: در نتیجه حاصل از بررسی مقالات دیده شد که باکتری ها از اصلی ترین عوامل بروز عفونت های دهان و دندان می باشند. هر چند بیوفیلم باکتریایی در سطوح مختلف دندانی و دهان لزوماً با ایجاد بیماری مرتبط نمی باشد ولی تشکیل بیوفیلم به عنوان یک مکانیسم بسیار با اهمیت بیماری زایی توسط این باکتری ها مطرح می باشد.نتیجه گیری: بیوفیلم پلاک دندانی در وضعیت سلامت، غالباً از باکتری های غیر پاتوژن و کومنسال تشکیل شده است. این در حالی است که در بیوفیلم های پاتوژنیک میزان باکتری های اسیدوژنیک و اسیدوریک به صورت چشمگیر افزایش یافته و با ایجاد یک محیط اسیدی پایدار، دمینرالیزاسیون با سرعت بیشتری رخ می دهد.

The role of bacterial biofilm in the clinical outcomes of oral and dental infections

Background: Oral and dental diseases such as dental caries and gingivitis are common problems in human societies. The formation of biofilms is considered as a very important mechanism of disease by these bacteria. The present study is an overview of these infectious diseases and their bacterial etiology, the mechanism of formation and role of dental plaque biofilm in the development of these infections and vaccination against dental caries is a new research field for dealing with these oraldental diseases.Methods: In the current review paper, relevant articles were collected at Science Direct, Google Scholar, and PubMed databases from 1995 to 2017 and reviewed over a period of 2 months. Articles related to the role of bacterial biofilms in oral and dental diseases were used to write this research.Results: As a result of the review of articles, it was seen that bacteria are one of the main causes of oral and etiology infections. Although the formation of bacterial biofilm at the different dental and oral surfaces is not necessarily related to the disease, but the formation of biofilms is considered as a very important mechanism of disease by these bacteria.Conclusion: The dental plaque biofilm in health condition often consists of nonpathogenic bacteria and humans. However, the in pathogenic biofilms, the levels of acidogenic and aciduric bacteria have increased dramatically and, by creating a stable acidic environment, demineralization occurs more rapidly.
