Abstract
with the increasing pressure from climate change, overexploitation of marine resources, and chemical pollution, the need for intelligent and automated monitoring of marine ecosystems is increasingly felt. continuous and accurate monitoring of marine ecosystems is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving sustainable fisheries. the use of intelligent technologies such as artificial intelligence (ai), the internet of things (iot), and automated monitoring systems has become one of the requirements for achieving sustainable fisheries. this article examines the capabilities of artificial intelligence in marine biological monitoring and its role in the smart management of aquatic resources. tools such as autonomous vessels, multi-purpose sensors, and smart olfactory networks now have the ability to detect chemical pollution, track biological fluctuations, as well as monitor indicators such as temperature, ph, dissolved oxygen, nitrogen compounds, and the presence of pollutants, and send alerts in real time. these technologies have not only increased the accuracy of environmental monitoring, but also drastically reduced the cost and risk of maritime surveillance by reducing the need for physical and in-person operations.
