Abstract
|
accurate modeling of biological neuron dynamics forms the cornerstone of developing high-performance and energy-efficient neuromorphic systems. however, achieving precise conformity between transistor-level outputs and real physiological data demands exhaustive calibration of hardware parameters. this study introduces an automated calibration framework for modeling the human auditory neuron, which addresses this challenge by leveraging artificial neural networks. instead of direct circuit implementation, a functional behavioral model of key neuromorphic subcircuits was constructed in the matlab/simulink environment. subsequently, an artificial neural network was employed within a hardware-in-the-loop (hil) scheme to optimize the circuit’s physical parameters—specifically, the transistor width-to-length ratio (w/l)—so that the simulated output exhibits maximal conformity with real bioelectric recordings of the human auditory neuron. the results demonstrate that this hybrid approach not only automates and accelerates the calibration process but also yields a high-fidelity bioelectric simulation model whose output parameters provide a direct pathway toward hardware synthesis. this methodology represents a significant step toward the design of
