چکیده    Although inhalation therapy has been used for many years in the treatment of human respiratory diseases, it has not been widely used in veterinary medicine and is mainly used in the treatment of respiratory diseases in horses, dogs, and cats. inhalation therapy in birds treatment using nebulizer devices is most common in ornamental or game birds and is not common in commercial poultry. the aim of this study was to investigate the antiviral effect of a commercial product, broncho smoke (damyar jame co.iran), containing: rosemary essential oil 4% and eucalyptus essential oil 3% in broiler chickens with respiratory disorders caused by newcastle disease and avian influenza(h9n2) viruses, used by inhalation method under field conditions. from 6 flocks with respiratory diseases at times 0, 48, 24 and 72 hours after treatment, trachea and lungs of birds were collected and infection with ndv and aiv viruses were evaluated using the real time pcr method. also, as a negative control, another housel that was not treated but had symptoms was sampled simultaneously. the results showed that using broncho smoke® in broilers suffering from newcastle respiratory diseases and h9n2 influenza causes a reduction in mortality, decrease in the intensity of clinical symptoms (breathing sounds, sneezing and coughing, eye and nose discharge) and a faster recovery (increasing feed and water consumption). the severity of necropsy symptoms (hyperemia, hemorrhage, and secretions in the trachea, lungs, and eye conjunctiva) in chickens suffering from newcastle disease and h9n2 influenza in chickens treated with broncho smoke® was significantly lower than in the control group, and its recovery was also it is faster. the results obtained using the real time(q)pcr method for the detection of ndv fusion(f) and aiv matrix(m) genes in broiler chickens suffering from the respiratory diseases showed that the relative expression level of this genes in the group treated with broncho smoke® compared to the control groups during the treatment period is less, which indicates the effect of this drug on replication and shedding of the newcastle and aiv viruses.
