چکیده
|
Normal galega officinalis l. (goat s tongue) contains the alkaloid galegine and a complex of biologically active substances that determine its hypoglycemic effect. given the increasing prevalence of metabolic disorders, it is promising to create phytopreparations for veterinary medicine based on this plant. the aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of galega officinalis extract on glucose levels and hematological parameters of rat blood as a stage in the development of a potential hypoglycemic agent for animals. the study was conducted on white outbred rats, which were administered a liquid extract of galega officinalis l., prepared by the repercolation method using 40–70% ethanol. the hypoglycemic effect and the effect on hematological parameters were evaluated using standard pharmacological methods in compliance with the principles of the european convention for the protection of vertebrate animals. during the study of hematological parameters of the blood of experimental rats, it was found that in rats with metabolic syndrome (group ii) the hemoglobin level exceeded the control by 23.8%, while with the administration of arfazetin and galega extract - by 9.7 and 6.1%, respectively (p<0.05). compared with the positive control, this indicator in intact animals was lower by 23.0%, and with the use of herbal preparations - by 11.4 and 15.3%. the number of erythrocytes in group ii exceeded the control by 18.2%, with treatment - by 7.8 and 5.5%, and relative to the positive control decreased by 8.8 and 10.8% (p<0.05). hematocrit in animals with ms was lower than the control by 10.9%, and with the administration of herbal preparations - by 8.0 and 5.4%; relative to the positive control – increased by 3.3 and 6.0%. no significant differences were found between the groups receiving phytopreparations. thus, the extract of galega officinalis showed a pronounced hypoglycemic effect and contributed to the normalization of hematological parameters in rats with induced metabolic syndrome. the results obtained confirm the feasibility of further studies of this phytopreparation for the creation of drugs with a hypoglycemic effect and a corrective effect on the blood composition of animals.
