چکیده

To address the lack of scientific validation in many companion animal supplements, this research developed a cohesive line of six functional products under the mastiff™ brand. these products uniquely combine phytotherapy with targeted postbiotics to support common canine conditions: anxiety (calmara), joint degradation (flexava), dermatological issues (dermara), gastrointestinal distress (gutrina), urinary tract health (urovella), and dental hygiene (dentava).formulations were based on a systematic review of veterinary literature to identify botanicals and compounds with established safety and efficacy. our dual-platform strategy combined: (1) polyherbal synergism to target multiple pathways, enhancing bioavailability with compounds like piperine for curcuminoids (curcuma longa); and (2) strategic incorporation of a postbiotic derived from hydrolyzed saccharomyces cerevisiae, which provides inactivated yeast, intracellular contents, and the functional cell wall, to support the gut microbiome and modulate the gut-brain axis. active ingredient doses were calibrated to veterinary standards (mg/kg), and a low-temperature (40 ∘c) dehydration process was employed to preserve the integrity of thermosensitive phytochemicals and postbiotics. the methodology yielded six optimized, palatable formulations, each enhanced with a tailored postbiotic profile. for instance, the calmara formulation combines valeriana officinalis, passiflora incarnata, and matricaria recutita to modulate the gabaergic system. this effect is complemented by postbiotics that support the gut-brain axis via neurotransmitter synthesis. similarly, the flexava formulation combines the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin (bioavailability enhanced by piperine) with natural chondroprotective agents to address both inflammation and structural joint support. this research establishes a robust framework for the development of evidence-based companion animal supplements that effectively integrate phytotherapy and postbiotics, effectively bridging the gap between traditional medicine and modern science. these optimized formulations represent strong candidates for in-vivo clinical trials to further validate their safety, palatability, and therapeutic efficacy.
