Abstract
teaching abstract concepts in chemistry has always been one of the mainchallenges for teachers and students due to the inherently complex and intangible natureof these topics. the new generations of students, particularly generation z andgeneration alpha, with their unique cognitive, behavioral, and technology-orientedcharacteristics, require innovative methods tailored to their learning styles. in thiscontext, emerging technologies such as augmented reality, gamification, artificialintelligence, and virtual laboratories have been introduced as effective strategies forteaching chemistry. this study, adopting a review-based approach, analyzes andexamines these technology-driven strategies designed to facilitate the learning ofabstract chemistry concepts for generations z and alpha. the findings indicate that thepurposeful and integrated use of these technologies not only increases students’motivation and active participation but also leads to deeper understanding and betterretention of complex concepts. finally, practical recommendations are presented for theoptimal application of these technologies in the educational system so that teachers andstudents can harness the potential of technology to enhance the quality of chemistryeducation.
