Abstract
this study was conducted with the aim of examining and proposing effective strategies forteaching chemistry concepts to blind and deaf students. the main issue addressed in thisresearch is the limitation these students face in accessing visual and auditory resources, which poses a serious challenge to learning chemistry as a discipline that relies heavily ondiagrams, models, and laboratory experiments. accordingly, the research method wasreview–analytical, based on the examination of credible national and international sources.the results indicated that the use of tactile tools such as raised three-dimensional models, the application of standardized scientific sign language, captioned videos, interactivesoftware, and the design of safe and accessible laboratories can significantly enhance theunderstanding of abstract chemistry concepts for blind and deaf students. based on thereviewed evidence, the effectiveness of these methods in improving learning outcomes andreducing educational gaps was remarkable, leading to increased self-confidence and activeparticipation of these students in chemistry classes. these findings suggest that inclusivechemistry education is not only feasible but, with proper planning, can promote educationalequity and improve the quality of learning among students with special needs.
