Abstract
this study aims to comparatively evaluate the ability of four artificialintelligence models (chatgpt, copilot, chat.z.ai, and gemini) to explain theevolutionary development of atomic models and to examine their interpretationof heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. the ai models were asked to respondto two fundamental questions: (1) why cannot the precise position of anelectron be determined in the quantum model? and (2) how can students’misconceptions about the bohr model be corrected? the models wereevaluated based on five criteria: scientific accuracy, clarity and coherence, useof examples, conceptual level, and ability to elaborate and analyze. thefindings revealed that chat.z.ai demonstrated the strongest performance interms of scientific accuracy and clarity, while the other models exhibitedvarious weaknesses in these areas. the study suggests that although ai modelscan serve as useful tools for teaching complex scientific concepts, eachpossesses distinct performance characteristics. therefore, selecting anappropriate model should depend on specific educational and research needs.overall, however, the models still require improvement in scientific precisionand conceptual analysis.
