تحلیل تماتیک در پژوهش‌های معماری و محیطی: مبانی نظری و کاربردی بر اساس الگوی بران و کلارک

در پژوهش‌های معماری و طراحی محیطی، درک ابعاد ذهنی و ادراکی تجربه‌ی فضا از اهمیت فزاینده‌ای برخوردار است. بسیاری از مفاهیم بنیادین معماری همچون حس تعلق، آرامش، حریم شخصی و تجربه‌ی زیبایی تنها از طریق تحلیل کیفی داده‌های انسانی قابل تبیین‌اند. در این میان، تحلیل تماتیک (thematic analysis) یکی از روش‌های پرکاربرد و انعطاف‌پذیر در پژوهش‌های کیفی محسوب می‌شود که بر شناسایی، سازمان‌دهی و تفسیر مضامین معنایی در داده‌ها تمرکز دارد. الگوی شش‌مرحله‌ای بران و کلارک به‌عنوان چارچوبی نظام‌مند، امکان درک ساختاریافته‌ی معنا را در داده‌های متنی و گفتاری فراهم می‌سازد. هدف این مقاله، تبیین مبانی نظری، فلسفی و کاربردی تحلیل تماتیک با تاکید بر الگوی بران و کلارک و بررسی ظرفیت‌های آن در پژوهش‌های معماری و محیطی است. افزون بر معرفی مراحل تحلیل، به نقش تحلیل تماتیک در پیوند میان تجربه‌ی زیسته‌ی کاربران و شاخص‌های طراحی انسان‌محور پرداخته می‌شود. مقاله همچنین با مرور مطالعات موردی، مزایا و چالش‌های این رویکرد در پژوهش‌های معماری را مورد بررسی قرار می‌دهد.

in architectural and environmental design research, understanding the mental and perceptual dimensions of spatial experience has gained increasing importance. many fundamental architectural concepts—such as sense of belonging, tranquility, privacy, and aesthetic experience—can only be explained through the qualitative analysis of human data. among various qualitative methods, thematic analysis is one of the most widely used and flexible approaches, focusing on identifying, organizing, and interpreting patterns of meaning within data. the six-phase framework proposed by braun and clarke provides a systematic structure for uncovering meaning in textual and verbal materials. this paper aims to elucidate the theoretical, philosophical, and practical foundations of thematic analysis, with particular emphasis on the braun and clarke model, and to explore its potential applications in architectural and environmental research. beyond outlining the analytical process, the paper discusses how thematic analysis can bridge lived user experiences with human-centered design indicators. through a review of selected case studies, the advantages and challenges of applying this approach in architectural research are also examined.
