presenting a innovation capabilities maturity model of accelerator in the innovation ecosystem using a meta-synthesis approach

Authors
Abstract    innovation capability is a determining factor in competitiveness of accelerators, and the lack of maturity of innovation capabilities in accelerators prevents these organizations from sustainable and value-creating interactions with startups. therefore, there is a need for a comprehensive model to determine the readiness and maturity of accelerators in terms of their innovation capabilities. therefore, the present study aimed to present a maturity model of accelerators innovation capabilities in the innovation ecosystem. the research method is an applied in terms of purpose, which was carried out using the meta-synthesis method, based on the 7 steps of sandelowski and barroso s (2007) approach. articles were searched based on research keywords in scientific databases during the years 2000-2025, and finally 47 articles met the inclusion in the study. based on the findings of the meta-synthesis of the components of the accelerators’ innovation capability maturity model in the innovation ecosystem, 121 primary concepts, 23 subcategories, and 6 main categories were extracted. finally, the maturity model presented in this study includes 4 levels of pre-acceleration, acceleration growth, acceleration maturity, and acceleration excellence in 6 dimensions of operational capabilities, dynamic capabilities, research capabilities, environmental factors, network capabilities, and internal soft capabilities. based on the model, accelerators can move towards excellence by being aware of their organization s readiness and maturity in the areas of operational, dynamic, research, environmental, network, and soft capabilities. policymakers in the innovation ecosystem can also use the insights from this framework to strengthen accelerators innovation capabilities.
Keywords capability maturity ,innovation capability ,accelerators maturity ,innovation ecosystem ,meta-synthesis.
