Abstract
analyzing the views of various philosophers from aristotle to the present, under the two major categories of realism and idealism, and the evolution of their schools of thought and philosophy from tradition to modernity, postmodernism, and the metamodern era, sheds more light on the evolutionary process of looking at the nature of science and truth and the relationship between the two. in the experimental sciences, physics has a complex, more complete, and multidimensional structure by encompassing mathematical and causal relationships, while addressing the effects of energy, force, and matter. the science of physics and its education in different eras are among the most complete manifestations of the relationship between science and truth. physics, as one of the most fundamental branches of human knowledge, has followed a tortuous path throughout history and, through continuous interaction with philosophy, has transformed human worldview. this article examines the evolution of the concept of physics from the ancient greek era to the era of quantum physics and contemporary theories, using a historical-philosophical analytical approach. the role of philosophy in shaping physical questions, methods, and explanations is also explored. findings show that physics is not only the product of observation and experience, but also the result of philosophical developments about the nature of truth, causality, matter, space, and time. this research seeks to answer the question of what is the relationship between science and truth, and how physics and its history can explain it, by analyzing the historical and philosophical views of thinkers regarding the relationship between science and truth and its adaptation to the periods of evolution of physics. this research studies this question using a library method and the method of comparison, matching, and reasoning.
