Abstract
teaching physics has always been a major challenge in educational systems due to the abstract nature of many of its concepts. in recent years, new approaches such as the flipped classroom and augmented reality (ar) technology have been proposed as solutions to improve the quality of physics learning. the flipped classroom enhances active learning by moving the presentation of materials outside the classroom and allocating face-to-face time to interactive activities. on the other hand, augmented reality, by adding layers of digital information to the real world, allows for the visualization of complex physical phenomena in a practical and engaging way. the present study, using a descriptive-analytical method, examines the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence surrounding the integration of these two methods in physics education (at the high school and farhangian university levels) and generates theories. the findings show that the combination of the flipped classroom and (ar) can lead to increased student motivation and participation, a deeper understanding of abstract physics concepts, and improved problem-solving and self-directed learning skills. the discussion and conclusion highlight the synergistic benefits of these two methods, implementation challenges (such as the need for technological infrastructure and teacher training), and suggested solutions for their optimal use. overall, integrating the flipped classroom with augmented reality can be considered a promising approach for creating dynamic, interactive, and learner-centered physics classes that are aligned with the learning needs of the new generation.
