Abstract
the aim of this study was to investigate the impact of using the phet educational simulator on students’ conceptual learning of the “bernoulli’s principle” topic. this study was conducted within the framework of teaching practice 3 (karvarzi 3) and with an applied approach. two 10th-grade mathematics classes, each consisting of 25 students, from a model public school were selected. the experimental group received instruction on the concept of bernoulli’s principle using the phet simulator, while the control group was taught through the conventional teacher explanation and classroom diagram drawing. to assess learning, a common conceptual question was posed to both groups at the end of the instruction, and responses were analyzed descriptively. results indicated that 81% of students in the experimental group answered the final question correctly, whereas this rate was 56% in the control group. given the noticeable difference in performance between the two groups, it can be concluded that the use of educational simulators in teaching physics concepts—particularly those requiring direct observation, such as bernoulli’s principle—enhances the understanding of scientific relationships and promotes more active student engagement. therefore, employing interactive digital tools can be an effective approach to improving learning quality and increasing student interest in the physics education process.
