Abstract
the rapid growth of mobile and digital technologies has introduced new opportunities for active, interactive, and visualization-based learning in physics education. despite widespread belief in the effectiveness of such technologies among learners and instructors, their actual use in physics classrooms remains limited. this mixed-methods study investigates attitudes, usage levels, opportunities, and barriers related to the adoption of mobile technologies across four educational groups: high-school students, university students, physics teachers, and university faculty members. quantitative data were collected through questionnaires, while qualitative insights were gained from semi-structured interviews. findings indicate that approximately 90% of participants believe mobile technologies enhance the learning of physics concepts; however, only 28% of teachers and 50% of university faculty actively integrate them into classroom instruction. the most frequently reported barriers include time pressure due to overloaded curricula, concerns about weakening analytical skills, insufficient technological infrastructure, and classroom management challenges. the results suggest that the primary obstacles lie not in user attitudes but in structural and operational constraints. the study recommends curriculum revision, the development of digital infrastructure, teacher training, and the formulation of classroom management protocols as essential steps toward the effective integration of mobile technologies in physics education.
