a new extension of the generalized beta probability distribution

In recent years, the beta family of probability distributions has had useful applications in astrophysics. in this paper, a new extension of the generalized beta probability distribution is introduced by presenting some of its main mathematical properties. then, the maximum likelihood estimation (mle) method is used to estimate the parameters of the proposed probability distribution. finally, the introduced extended generalized beta probability distribution is applied to modeling the imf for stars.
