a new distribution as a combination of rayleigh and log-series distributions

This paper derives a new distribution as a combination of rayleigh and log-series distributions with increasing failure rate. first, the probability density function (pdf), cumulative distribution function (cdf), ????-th moment, survival function, and hazard function of the proposed distribution are calculated. then, the estimation of the new distribution parameters is presented using the maximum likelihood (ml) method. finally, the new distribution is fitted on a real dataset and it is shown that this proposed distribution performs better compared to some other known distributions
