polynomial convexity of the spectrum of generators and its extensions on linearly complete regular algebras

Let u be a generator for a commutative banach algebra with unit. in this article, under the assumption that the boundedness radius β is subadditive, we establish that the spectrum sp(u) is polynomially convex. as a consequence, we establish the polynomial convexity of the joint spectra in finitely generated algebras.
