With the increasing size of many cities in various dimensions such as population and physical scale, the volume of data generated in urban environments has also expanded. traditionally, these data have been stored and managed separately by different municipal departments. advances in technology and the move towards open government have made much of these data publicly available. urban dashboards have emerged as a technique to visualise these data in an accessible way. in this study, aimed at analysing the trends in environmental and urban transport indicators over a five-year period (2020–2024), an analytical urban dashboard was designed. the indicators examined include daily trips, air pollution, green space per capita, daily waste, and recycling rate, whose data were collected from various official organisations and analysed in tableau software. the main advantage of an analytical dashboard is that it aggregates data from multiple sources and displays them in an integrated manner. in addition to integrated visualisation, it enables deep analysis and discovery of relationships between different datasets. the results of analysing the trends of indicators and calculating the environmental sustainability index for the metropolis of tabriz over the five-year period (2020–2024) show that tabriz reached its highest level of urban sustainability in 2023; however, maintaining this status requires continuous monitoring, accurate data, and intelligent planning.
