مطالعه نقش کتابخانه‌های دانشگاهی سبز در پشتیبانی از دانشگاه سبز

هدف این مقاله تشریح ابتکارات و تجربیات جهانی کتابخانه‌های سبز در پشتیبانی از تحقق دانشگاه سبز بود. برای این منظور ابتدا اهمیت و ضرورت پایداری زیست‌محیطی و نقش دانشگاه‌ها و ابتکاراتی که در جهت ایجاد دانشگاه پایدار و سبز انجام شده است بیان شد. سپس به ورود این موضوع در محیط کتابخانه‌ها و تجربیات جهانی و راهکارهایی که کتابخانه‌های سبز در جهت حفظ پایداری زیست‌محیطی و تحقق دانشگاه سبز ارائه کرده‌اند پرداخته شد. مرور ادبیات موضوع و تجارب کشورهای مختلف نشان می‌دهد کتابخانه‌های دانشگاهی می‌توانند از راه‌های مختلفی به تحقق دانشگاه سبز کمک کنند. این راهکارها شامل راهبردهای متناسب با پایداری در امور روزانه و زیرساخت‌ها (بهینه‌سازی انرژی و منابع، ساختمان‌های سبز، مدیریت پسماند و فناوری پایدار)، حمایت از آموزش و برنامه‌های درسی پایدار شامل (همکاری با اساتید برای تولید منابع پایداری، دسترس‌پذیر ساختن اطلاعات مربوط به پایداری، برگزاری نمایشگاه‌هایی که تحقیقات و ابتکارات پایداری را برجسته کرده و به ترویج آگاهی و مشارکت جامعه دانشگاهی کمک می‌کند) و ایجاد گروه‌ها و شراکت‌های پایداری (تشکیل گروه‌های پایداری مانند آنچه که در دانشگاه سن دیگو اتفاق افتاده، همکاری با دفاتر پایداری دانشگاهی و فرادانشگاهی، و حمایت از مسئولیت اجتماعی دانشگاه) است.

a study on the role of green academic libraries in supporting green universities

the aim of this article is to explore global initiatives and experiences of green academic libraries in supportingthe realization of green universities. to this end, it first outlines the importance and urgency of environmentalsustainability, the role of universities, and the various initiatives undertaken to establish sustainable and greencampuses. it then examines how this concept has entered the library environment, highlighting internationalexperiences and strategies adopted by green libraries to promote environmental sustainability and contributeto the green university agenda. a review of the literature and global practices reveals that academic librariescan support green universities through multiple approaches. these include sustainability-oriented strategiesin daily operations and infrastructure (such as energy and resource optimization, green buildings, wastemanagement, and sustainable technologies); support for sustainability education and curricula (includingcollaboration with faculty to develop sustainability resources, providing access to sustainability-relatedinformation, and organizing exhibitions that showcase research and innovation to raise awareness and fostercampus-wide engagement); and the formation of sustainability groups and partnerships (such as theenvironmental sustainability group at uc san diego library, collaboration with institutional and crossinstitutional sustainability offices, and advocacy for the university’s social responsibility).
