Abstract
climate change not only affects habitats but also exerts destructive influences on the genetics and behavior of animals. species respond differently to these changes, which in some cases may lead to reductions in population size, genetic diversity, and overall survival. tolerance and adaptability to environmental stressors are critical for the persistence of animal species. climatic fluctuations have both evolutionary effects (such as divergent evolution) and ecological consequences (such as shifts in distribution ranges). environmental factors resulting from climate change can alter histone modifications and dna methylation patterns, leading to epigenetic changes through the silencing or activation of specific genes. these modifications may sometimes result in the emergence of new traits, changes in the frequency of adaptive alleles, and subsequent behavioral shifts in animals. among vertebrates, reptiles and amphibians are more sensitive to environmental disturbances. climatic variability can influence gene expression in mammals, thereby altering reproductive timing, migration patterns, and dietary regimes. in birds, such changes can affect alleles that determine body size, leading to morphological adaptations. by employing species distribution modeling and analyzing environmental factors and their variations on ecological niches, the impacts of climate change on the spatial distribution and habitat suitability of animals can be assessed. furthermore, evaluating climate scenarios using advanced machine learning algorithms (such as neural networks and genetic algorithms), combined with remote sensing techniques, can enhance the accuracy and reliability of studies on climate change effects.
