Abstract
azo dyes, as one of the most stable and widely used synthetic dyes, contribute significantly to industrialwastewater pollution. due to their high chemical stability, strong toxicity, and resistance to degradation, theypose a serious threat to human health and aquatic ecosystems. recently, nanoenzymes have gained attentionas sustainable alternatives to natural enzymes, particularly in oxidation processes. in this study, theperformance of the co@cu/mof nanoparticle as a laccase-like nanoenzyme in degrading the azo dye rednf was evaluated. the effects of various parameters, including reaction time, temperature, ph, nanoparticleconcentration, and initial dye concentration, on removal efficiency were investigated. the results showed thatthe highest removal percentage occurred within the first minute, indicating the very rapid catalytic activity ofthe nanoparticle. optimal performance was achieved at 30°c, acidic ph, a nanoparticle concentration of 40mg/ml, and a dye concentration of 60 mm. the co@cu/mof nanoparticle demonstrated high degradationefficiency across a wide range of operational conditions, confirming its potential for application in thetreatment of dye-contaminated wastewater. these findings support the use of metal–organic frameworks asstable, economical, and effective nanocatalysts for eliminating dye pollutants.
