مروری بر مدیریت پسماند در شهرهای ایران

مدیریت پسماند به شیوه‌ای اصولی و با رعایت مسائل زیست‌محیطی، یکی از مهم‌ترین موضوعات مدیریت شهری است. افزایش آگاهی عمومی نسبت به مسائل بهداشتی و محیط‌زیستی از یک سو و محدودیت منابع انرژی و مواد و افزایش تقاضا در کشورهای در حال توسعه مانند ایران از سوی دیگر، برنامه‌ریزان را بر آن داشته است تا روش‌های بهینه مدیریت پسماند را با رویکرد توسعه پایدار طراحی و اجرا کنند، به گونه‌ای که مسائل اقتصادی، اجتماعی و محیط‌زیستی به طور همزمان لحاظ شود. این مقاله با هدف مرور و جمع‌بندی مطالعات انجام شده پیرامون مدیریت پسماند در شهرهای ایران تهیه شده است. بررسی مطالعات نشان می‌دهد که چالش اصلی مدیریت پسماند در ایران، کمبود هماهنگی یکپارچه، ضعف ساختار مدیریتی، محدودیت منابع و نبود مشارکت مردمی است. ارتقای آگاهی عمومی، استفاده از فناوری‌های نوین و تقویت سیاست‌های مدیریتی، نقش مهمی در بهبود اثربخشی مدیریت پسماند دارد.

waste management, when conducted in a systematic manner with due consideration for environmental issues, is one of the most critical aspects of urban management. increasing public awareness of health and environmental concerns, coupled with limited energy and material resources and rising demand in developing countries such as iran, has compelled planners to design and implement optimal waste management strategies based on a sustainable development approach that simultaneously addresses economic, social, and environmental dimensions. this article aims to review and synthesize studies on waste management in iranian cities. the review indicates that the main challenges in iran’s waste management system include lack of integrated coordination, weak managerial structures, resource limitations, and insufficient public participation. enhancing public awareness, adopting modern technologies, and strengthening governance policies play a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of waste management
