identifying and prioritizing barriers and challenges in implementing green human resource management (ghrm)

Authors
Abstract    green human resource management (ghrm) is a strategic framework that integrates environmental sustainability into human resource policies and practices. this approach reflects a shift from traditional hrm to sustainability-oriented strategies, emphasizing green recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. the aim of this study is to identify the main challenges in implementing ghrm within organizations. literature review indicates that, despite the increasing adoption of these practices in alignment with global sustainability goals, persistent barriers such as limited financial and training resources, resistance to change, and misalignment with overall organizational strategy remain. moreover, the lack of reliable metrics for assessing the effectiveness of ghrm is a significant concern. the findings suggest that advancing green hrm practices requires organizations to adopt interdisciplinary and context-specific strategies to align human resource functions with broader sustainability objectives.
