this article analyzes the concept of green economy and focuses on the main stages of the formation and development of this economic model; a model that recognizes the conservation of natural resources and the reduction of environmental damage as its fundamental principles. the present article examines the scientific and political factors affecting the emergence of the green economy; in particular, the impact of the industrial revolution and environmental crises, the reasons for the development of this approach, its economic and social consequences, the introduction of clean and environmentally friendly technologies, and the importance of policies that are based on the principles of sustainable development in the global economy.
