archetype assay concept on base archaeology studies

Authors darabpour shahla
Abstract    the iranian art has been affected by the motifs of lilies and vine all the time. the frequent use of these decorative motifs in different periods shows their importance in transferring a concept. this fact leads us to the question that how much ancient artists were influenced by the archetype of these two motifs. another question is related to the variety of concepts of the mentioned motifs in the ancient periods, if they all had a same meaning through the time or not. and the other question is to what extent the creators of the motifs were influenced by the collective unconscious and the human's common experiences?since the patterns of vine and lilies are perfectly matched with indian and egyptian symbols, we think that maybe these archetypes had been originated from the human collective unconscious. the main objective of this study is to determine how the common decorative patterns, used in the great civilizations, are matched with the archetype and to what extent it is influenced by the human’s collective unconscious. in this study, we explain that these patterns, considering their profound philosophical concepts and mythical functions paved the way for creation of archetypes. thus, the writer supports the theory of jung in which he believes archetypes are originated from the human's collective unconscious.
