شکل‌گیری و کارکرد روستاهای فصلی در جنوب شرق خلیج فارس ( با تمرکز بر فصول صید مروارید) )

موضوع روستاهای فصلی در تاریخ سواحل جنوب خلیج‌فارس از جهت شناخت هویت تاریخی این منطقه طی ادوار مختلف اهمیت دارد. سواحل جنوب‌شرقی به‌عنوان مهم‌ترین صیدگاه مروارید در حوزۀ اقیانوس هند، فاقد قابلیت زیست دائمی و متکی بر اسکان فصلی بوده است که این ناشی از شرایط جغرافیایی و مقتضیات حیات دریایی است. هرچند محققین بر مبنای نگاه‌های متعارض، روایت‌هایی از این شرایط داشته‌اند، شواهد گویای تداوم این فرهنگ از دورۀ باستان تا سدۀ 13 ش/ 19 م. است. روستاهای فصلی هرساله بیش از 200 هزار نفر را به خود جذب می‌کردند. توجه به این نکته که برخی از مهم‌ترین شهرهای دائمی و مدرن کنونی، خاستگاه روستای فصلی داشته‌اند، محقق را وامی‌دارد که در خصوص ماهیت این نوع از حیات روستایی و چرایی ایجاد و پایان این پدیدۀ تاریخی بررسی نماید. تحقیق حاضر با روشی تحلیلی و بر اساس شواهد تاریخی، به‌دنبال پاسخ به این پرسش اساسی است که عوامل تعیین‌کنندۀ شکل‌گیری روستاهای فصلی در جنوب‌ خلیج‌فارس چه بوده و این نوع زندگی تحت تاثیر چه شرایطی متحول شده است؟ فرض غالب این است که نیاز اقتصادی و معیشت مردمان، در هر دو وضعیت شکل‌گیری و تداوم فصلی و در ادامه، پایان این نوع سبک روستانشینی موثر بوده است.
