explaining the elements of evaluating the performance of effective schools and presenting an optimal model with a data-based approach
background: improving educational quality and ensuring student success requires identifying and analyzing the factors affecting the performance evaluation of effective schools. in this regard, the use of hybrid models that can comprehensively cover various dimensions of evaluation is of particular importance and can improve the efficiency of the education system. these models, by combining different methods, provide a better understanding and comprehensive analysis of school performance.
objective: the aim of the research is to present a performance evaluation model for effective schools in tehran based on a data-based hybrid approach with a mixed method that can accurately identify the strengths and weaknesses of educational performance.
methods: the research community in the data-based section included all experts in the field of education who were studied until theoretical saturation was reached, which was 15 people. in the quantitative part, the statistical population included elementary school principals in tehran in 1401-1402, and 295 people were selected using stratified random sampling method based on five districts of tehran. the data collection tool in the qualitative part was semi-structured interviews, and in the quantitative part, a researcher-made questionnaire, whose validity and reliability were confirmed.
findings: the results of the study indicated that the proposed paradigmatic model includes causal factors such as physical and technological factors, ensuring environmental health, and individual health of students. the central phenomenon of the model includes active actors and the teaching and learning process. contextual conditions include key components and elements related to school performance evaluation. intervening conditions include the principles and values of an effective school along with educational organizations and policymakers. effective strategies of the model include the provision of the prerequisites for implementing the evaluation, and the consequences of implementing the performance evaluation include the acquisition of scientific and practical achievements.
conclusion: the presented model, as an effective tool for evaluating the performance of effective schools in tehran, has the ability to assist the teaching and learning process and can provide the basis for achieving desirable scientific and practical results. using this model can help educational managers and policymakers in making better decisions and reforming the educational system, and increase the quality of education and improve the level of school performance. today, given the complexity of educational systems, the use of such combined models provides valuable information for continuous improvement of educational processes, which will ultimately lead to sustainable development of education.
