بررسی میزان آگاهی و سواد محیط‌زیستی دانشجویان مقاطع کاردانی و کارشناسی با رویکرد توسعه پایدار و صیانت از محیط‌زیست

مقدمه:یکی از مهم‌ترین مولفه‌های کلیدی و اساسی تاثیرگذار بر سلامت و تضمین کیفیت زندگی نسل‌های کنونی و آینده بشر، محیط‌زیست سالم و پایدار و صیانت از آن است. توسعه پایدار که به معنای تامین نیازهای امروز بدون به خطر انداختن توان نسل‌های آینده است، ارتباط مستقیم با میزان آگاهی، نگرش مثبت، مشارکت فعال و رفتارهای افراد در زمینه محیط‌زیست دارد. لذا، برای کاهش بحران‌های محیط‌زیست و صیانت از آن، مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین سطح آگاهی و سواد محیط‌زیستی دانشجویان ورودی کاردانی و کارشناسی در مورد شناخت و اهمیت صیانت از محیط‌زیست انجام پذیرفت. مواد و روش‌ها: پژوهش حاضر، مطالعه‌ای مقطعی از نوع توصیفی تحلیلی است. نمونه‌ها شامل تعداد 384 نفر از دانشجویان مقاطع کاردانی و کارشناسی دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی استان فارس بودند که به‌صورت نمونه‌گیری به روش در دسترس انتخاب ‌شدند. از دانشجویان خواسته شد تا پرسشنامه‌‌ها را که شامل سوالاتی در زمینه مشخصات جمعیت‌شناسی، آگاهی و دانش عمومی در مورد محیط‌زیست و صیانت از آن بود تکمیل کنند. اعتبار پرسشنامه قبل از انجام مطالعه تعیین شد (81/0). با استفاده از نرم‌افزار spss نسخه 26 و با بهره‌گیری از آمار توصیفی و آزمون‌های کای دو (χ^2)، من‌ویتنی و کروسکال والیس تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها انجام پذیرفت.نتایج و بحث: یافته‌های این پژوهش نشان داد که 32/89 درصد از دانشجویان، از میزان آگاهی ضعیفی در مورد شناخت واژه سواد محیط‌زیست و اهمیت آن برخوردار بودند و 62/90 درصد از دانشجویان تمایل به افزایش دانش و آگاهی در مورد محیط‌زیست و نقش آن در سلامت دارند. نتایج نشان داد بین جنسیت و آگاهی، تحصیلات و آگاهی و همچنین گروه سنی و آگاهی، ارتباط معنی‌داری از نظر آماری وجود دارد (05/0

assessing the level of environmental awareness and literacy among associate and bachelor’s degree students with an approach to sustainable development and environmental conservation

one of the most crucial and fundamental factors influencing the health and quality of life of current and future generations is a healthy and sustainable environment and its protection. sustainable development, defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, is directly linked to individuals’ awareness, positive attitudes, active participation, and behaviors regarding the environment. therefore, to mitigate environmental crises and promote its protection, the present study was conducted to assess the level of environmental awareness and literacy among associate and bachelor’s degree students concerning the recognition and importance of environmental conservation. this study was a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional investigation. the sample consisted of 384 students enrolled in associate and bachelor programs at islamic azad university, fars province, who were selected through convenience sampling. participants were asked to complete questionnaires that included demographic questions as well as items assessing their general knowledge and awareness about the environment and its protection. the questionnaire’s reliability was confirmed prior to the study (cronbach’s alpha = 0.81). data were analyzed using spss version 26 employing descriptive statistics and inferential tests including chi-square (χ^2), mann-whitney, and kruskal-wallis tests. findings revealed that 89.32% of the students demonstrated low awareness regarding the concept of environmental literacy and its importance. conversely, 90.62% expressed a willingness to increase their knowledge and awareness about the environment and its role in health. statistically significant relationships were found between gender and awareness, education level and awareness, as well as age group and awareness (p < 0.05). the results indicate that the participating students possess limited knowledge concerning environmental literacy and the significance of environmental protection and sustainable development. accordingly, there is a clear need for regular, extensive, and systematic educational programs aimed at enhancing environmental literacy and culture as well as sustainable development. it is essential that all members of society become familiar with the concept of ecological or environmental literacy to make informed decisions regarding environmental conservation.
