The article discusses modern approaches to understanding personal resources. the substantial characteristics of a person’s resource potential are revealed, the meaning and role of its value-semantic components are substantiated. the models of the value-semantic components of the resource potential are analyzed and the main patterns of their development are highlighted. the conclusion about the priority of providing psychological conditions for the productive formation of value-semantic components of resource potential is substantiated. the use of narrative methods and techniques in professional education and in the practice of personal and managerial counseling is proposed as a tool to ensure such conditions.
